The Board of Directors of the Markham Arts Council has been fortunate to receive two Ontario Trillium grants. The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, receives annually $100 million of government funding generated through Ontario’s charity casino initiative. These grants have been used to develop our website, produce the Arts Council newsletter Arts in Motion, publish the annual Arts Directory, purchase computer equipment, run workshops and seminars and pay administration salaries.
