2009 Poetry Contest

This is an Open Contest for Amateur Adult poets

We know that Markham has it's own Keats or Kipling, Dickinson or Leacock.
Now is your chance to write the verse that wins the 2009 Poetry Contest
presented by the Markham Arts Council.

PRIZES INCLUDE:

• Prizes for First and Second
• Winning poems will be published in the November 2009 edition of "Arts in Motion", the Markham Arts Council newsletter
• Winning poems will appear on the Markham Arts Council web site  www.markhamartscouncil.com
• Winners will also receive a one year membership in the Markham Arts Council
